Welcome to Sam Horn’s Writers Support Community

Stop wishing - start writing

"If you wait to write, you're not a writer, you're a waiter."
Dan Poynter
Author, Consultant, Publisher, Professional Speaker and Parachute Designer.

Do you know the #1 reason writers give up on their books?

Author isolation.
We try to go it alone and run out of confidence, clarity and commitment.
That’s not just my opinion.
That’s what every attendee of Maui Writers Conference told us.
Again and again, we heard:

“I feed off the energy of others. Writing on my own just isn’t that much fun.”

“I got all fired up at MWC, then went home, life intervened, and I put my book on hold.”

“I had great intentions to write every day, but I got busy and that just didn’t happen.”

“Without the group support, my confidence flagged and I lost faith in my work.”

“I have no one to talk to about my manuscript. It’s hard to stay inspired.”

Can you relate?

That’s why I’ve created this Stop Wishing – Start Writing Community.

Why go it alone when you can go it together?

Studies show the most important factor to successful behavioral change is community.

That’s one of the reasons Alcoholics Anonymous and Weight Watchers have been so successful over the year.

Group support is the key to maintaining resolve and sustaining accountability.

My goal is for this to be a “Rising Tide Raising All Writers” community where you feel elevated and celebrated.

"I've read other books and sat through webinars, but it was Sam Horn's experience and advice that moved my work from inside my head, to my computer, and now to a publisher."
Mason Harris
Author of The Chutzpah Advantage

Writing in a group makes all the difference

A jet jockey once told me that pilots love flying so much, that if they can’t be up in the sky flying, you can find them in the hangar talking about flying. It’s called “hangar flying.”

Well, you can call what we do in our community book flying. It’s where your writing dreams will take flight.

You’ll have a chance to talk about them, get feedback about them, finish them and turn them into reality.

Instead of setting your writing projects aside because you run out of energy and clarity, our Writers Wednesdays will be your own “must-see TV.”

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Here’s what you receive when you join our community.

How much would you pay for a YEAR of inspiration, education, support, mentoring, and best-practices from Sam?

Well, people pay $10,000 to hire Sam for a weekend to help them strategize a one-of-a-kind book, brand, keynote, TEDx talk, or business/career positioning and messaging that scales their income and impact – for good.

You don’t have to pay $10,000 to be part of our year-round Stop Wishing – Start Writing community.

You don’t even have to pay $5,000.

You pay less than $1,000 for 12 months of connection, collaboration, and continuous, clear guidance on FINISHING your creative projects.

Less than $1,000 to have something to look forward to every week – an online Third Place and community that has your back and front.

An annual membership is $997 (or you can pay $97 month-by-month if you prefer).

That’s a good deal.

"The time to start pursuing your dreams is NOW. And Sam Horn is here to help you make it happen."
Alex Banayan
Author of the NYT Bestseller The Third Door

Why Join our COmmunity?

We know how it goes. You’re busy. You’ve got responsibilities, people to take care of, things to do.

It’s easy for your creative projects to get set aside. You promise you’ll get to them SOMEDAY when you have more time, energy, money … fill in the blank.

Maybe your creative project isn’t earning money or generating paid business yet, so you feel you can’t “justify” making it a priority.

But writing calls you. It is part of who you are.

When you’re not doing it, it feels you’re ignoring a pivotal part of yourself.

That’s why joining this group isn’t an indulgence, it’s an investment.

It’s an investment in keeping the creator in you alive

Being part of our community is a way to hang out with kindred souls who want the best for you and bring out the best in you.

It’s a way to say what you care about matters – and you’re going to keep it in your life.

Inspiring Daily Quotes

If you know me, you know I love quotes.

They are often the right words at the write time (so to speak).

Years ago, my business, the Tongue Fu! Training Institute, published a sit-on-your-desk Fu! for Thought perpetual calendar with favorite quotes I’ve collected and curated.

Many people tell us they STILL have it on their desk because of its uncanny ability to offer insights that are exactly what they needed to hear that day.

We’re doing something similar for our SW-SW community.

Every morning, you’ll receive a funny, thought-provoking, profound, short (100 words or less) pearl of wisdom.

 No INFObesity.

Just enough to tickle your soul, put a smile on your face, plant an idea in your head, and get those fingers moving.

"Sam Horn has a special talent at helping you recognize and then achieve what you really want. She's one of the reasons my first book exists. I highly recommend her to anyone who's stuck or wants to turn their dreams into reality."
Kamal Ravikant
Author of Love Yourself Like Your Life Depends on It

Is This Community Right For Me?

With this group, you have autonomy to participate when you want, the way you want.

You are welcome to join our weekly LIVE gatherings or access them on your own schedule. (Our private Facebook community, recordings of all programs, and archives are available 24/7.)

Please note: you don’t have to be a WRITER to benefit from our community.

We had a number of people attend Maui Writers Conference who weren’t even writing a book. They joined us year after year because they knew they could trust us to host an entertaining, educational, enlightening, value-added experience.

And did we mention FUN?

Whether you are a life-long learner who likes hanging out with smart, talented people – a creative who is tired of working in isolation – or a business professional who wants to be a better writer – you’ll fit right in

And yes, you can GIFT an annual membership to a friend, family member or colleague as a way of saying, “I see how important writing is to you. And this is my way of supporting that.”

Pablo Picasso said, “The purpose of life is to find your gift. The meaning is to give it away.”

We hope our community helps you find your gift, hone your gift, and contribute your gift – so your life is more of what you want it be today.

After all, now is the new later.

Who Is Sam Horn?

Sam Horn is CEO of the Intrigue Agency. She helps people create respectful, collaborative, one-of-a-kind communications and projects that add value for all involved.

In case we haven’t met, here are just a few credentials I’m bringing to the table as host of your “rising tide raising all writers” community. (Read full bio here).

* Had the privilege of helping hundreds of authors craft quality books that scaled their career success, including Terry Jones (founder of Travelocity), Miki Agrawal (co-founder of Thinx and Tushy), Charlie Pellerin, (Project Manager of the Hubble Telescope).

* Hired by hundreds of organizations to speak on my books. A sample list is Intel, Cisco, Boeing, Capital One, U.S. Navy.

* Executive Director of the Maui Writers Conference for 17 years – Writers Digest called it THE best writers conference in the world.

One of the great blessings of my life is to help people birth their books and contribute their creative projects to the world.

Hope you’ll join us and we get to create some pebbles to throw in the pond of our collective legacy.  What fun this is going to be.
