Make the Most of Your 15-Mins – The Better Newsletter #140

ANECDOTE

When Barack Obama, then an Illinois state senator, took the stage at the 2004 Democratic National Convention, he was a well-known politician in Chicago, but not a household name.

That all changed after his speech, which took the convention and TV audience by storm. The story of his roots and dreams captured people’s imaginations and was widely praised by reporters from both parties, launching him into the limelight.

He was soon swamped with requests to speak, and the rest, as they say, is history.

President Obama certainly made the most of his fifteen-minute spotlight.

My question is… Are you ready to make the most of yours?

What you do during your fifteen minutes (or fifteen seconds these days) determines whether your impact is one-time or ongoing.

If you capitalize on your window of opportunity by sharing a Purposeful, Original, Pithy message that is clear, concise, and compelling, people will want more of you… And your moment in the spotlight can be parlayed into a lifelong opportunity to impact others.
