Open Doors & Close Deals – The Better Newsletter #146

ANECDOTE

One of the joys of my life is helping people craft clear, concise, and compelling messaging so that when we share what we care about, other people care about it too.

I got to do this last week at NSA with my session, “Craft a Phrase-That-Pays.”

Later, I met the head of programming for SXSW at a private dinner. When he learned about my work helping people turn complex ideas into clear, intriguing language, he encouraged me to propose a session for next year’s conference.

So I did! And “Fix My Pitch” is now open for community voting. Here’s a quick look at what it’s about.

For the next few days, everywhere you go, people will ask, “What do you do? What’s your business, project, cause, startup, film, talk, or book about?”

And what you say in the next 60 seconds is a deal-maker or a deal-breaker.

In this hands-on session, you will have an opportunity to craft a 60-second description and UVP (Unique Value Proposition) that gets eyebrows up—a sure sign of intrigue.

You’ll walk out with a crisp, clear, confident, compelling response that opens doors and closes deals.

Click here to view and vote for my session. I’d sure appreciate it!
